“May, the month of sunshine, blooming flowers, and endless possibilities.”

Welcome May! The fifth month of the year is here. I hope everyone reading this is well.

May is such a nice month. I can hear the birds singing outside and flowers are blooming most everywhere I go. For the last couple of days I have been out cutting lemons off trees in a grove. Being out there was a beautiful experience and I really felt Spring was in the air.

May Moons

The Full Moon is on May 12th and it is called The Flower Moon.May’s Flower Moon name should be no surprise; flowers spring forth across North America in abundance this month!

  • Clothes washed for the first time in the Full Moon will not last long.
  • The Full Moon is an ideal time to accept a proposal of marriage.

The New Moon in May is on the 26th.During this time, the Sun and the Moon are not opposing each other and creates no tensions between the two bodies. The cycle of new moon brings a fresh start and makes you calm and motivated.

May Birth Flowers

Lily-of-the-valley, with its dainty, small, bell-shaped white flowers, is a perennial ground cover that spreads aggressively given the right conditions. These flowers represent sweetness and purity.

Hawthorn is a flowering shrubs in the rose family with flowers that bloom in May in small white, red, or pink clusters. Small berries, called haws, sprout after the flowers. The hawthorn is a longstanding symbol of hope.

May Birthstones

The Nightingale is the bird for the month of May.

Some New things I am making for Spiritual Twist  are Waters…. Scented Waters. Yum! Last night I made some Rose Water and as I have been writing this Newsletter I can smell the Rose Water I sprayed and I am Loving It!

Rose Water, Sage Water and today I will be making some Lavender Water.
